Since, in the beginning of Bailey Jene Moran's life, she took the stable job route and worked at a bank, this two part, Diary Entry, is teaming with banking references. ;) It's also so illustrative of all the risks someone has to take to cash-in on investments.
We can't wait to watch this budding talent as she navigates her apprenticeship years; See what kind of "returns" she'll get for pursuing her passion? ;) Frankly, we have full confidence in her.
Like her parents, we see greatness in Bailey. Make sure to follow her as she grows!
Thank you Bailey! Thank you to your family, loving husband for always being a support system (She does need all of you and it does matter that she has you all). This show is honored to have met you in Paradise.
God bless and as always, we are so grateful to our Listeners!

[00:00:00] Hello diary listeners, happy Tuesday!
[00:00:04] My hope is that everyone had a spectacular Valentine's Day.
[00:00:09] I know I did, it was very chill, low key.
[00:00:12] I actually had a group of friends of mine randomly stop by and give me some flowers and a glow
[00:00:19] stick.
[00:00:21] So special shout out to John and Courtney, I love you both and thank you both.
[00:00:26] That really meant a lot. That's why you mark that every weather when you put like a little X in it or you just color it in just so that you know. Because it's already, I already did my mess up. Yeah, I've already done it. Well, these, this mom and these two daughters came in and they had like a three heart design. Well the mom was going to get the first heart filled in.
[00:01:41] The first daughter was going to get the second heart filled in.
[00:01:46] The third daughter was supposed to in the first heart, my brain said first heart and we filled it in. So do you want two hearts filled in and then your sister can have all three hearts filled in? Right. Right. And she, she looked so
[00:03:01] pissed. But she afterwards she's like, I love it more. But the
[00:03:04] second sister, she had never had. That's it. And they were like, that's a great idea. I was like, Okay, please don't hurt me. I'm sorry. Well, unless the thing is that like, I think that it's so human, you know, like people get that mistakes happen. Like, part of,
[00:04:21] you know, just getting tattooed is the experience on top of what
[00:04:24] you were thinking about getting and like, like you said, a lot whole ink set for her of glowing like black light ink. And this wasn't like a person who was just getting it for La De Da. She was an audio engineer and she was regularly in nightclubs. So like she was around black light all the freaking time. And she loves star bright. And she wanted like the star bright star right by like
[00:05:43] her upper cheekbone.
[00:05:44] Well, we had, we had put it up. But either way, like, what do you want me to do? And she was like, um, I guess tattoo both because now like it will look better with both because of the way it was located. And I was like, I think it looks really cute. I was like, I'm really sorry. You can't do like, it's on her face. I felt
[00:07:02] awful. I'm sure. I'm sure that great. And I mean, for my first one, my lines were pretty solid. So that's awesome. Yeah, I think that I mean, I think because I went so slow that obviously they need to go good, but I was petrified. Oh, now how did it get to like, did it just happen one day?
[00:08:24] Rico, you're gonna do your I already hitched my ride to this. Yeah. He kept telling me the whole time. He was like, you're not going to be able to touch this. I don't care if you feel like you need to clean it up. Like, don't ever touch it after this. And I was like, I hate you.
[00:09:41] No, that's a lot of people with like first tattoos.
[00:09:44] Like, they're kind of like, okay, that, that wasn't too God awful. Like, yeah, I've seen a lot of tattoos like that, especially the ones like you mentioned where the client was really in pain and
[00:11:00] there were certain things that happen where they jerked or up. So I was like, and like, I basically like it, I immediately went way too far in the skin and it bled under the skin immediately. And I was like, that was not my fault. That was your fault. I was like, you just got a little spider under the skin. That's what happened. Like, you got your had told me he was like, alright, it's time that you you order your machines and I had pulled my 401k out for my last job to be able to to pay for that. So I paid for two bishop rotary
[00:13:41] machines. Nice. And I got like was like for the most part he was like well you're a smart cookie you got most of it
[00:15:01] together he's like there's some parts here that. I think you'll like it. It's it's really great lining. Lining is beautiful with a coil machine.
[00:16:21] Shading it. I mean, coils are just a little bit more cumbersome, you know, like that.
[00:16:25] That's really it. so many wires like cordless. I'm just like, yeah, we're, we're free. I'm telling you not not having wires to get bound up in or get caught on something or right now I have a chair that like all my chairs have to have roller blade wheels because they can't have those canisters that catch your wires. And that's
[00:17:42] just a product of all the wires that have been in my life. Now I basically, I'm allowed to tattoo. Right on. And then go forward from there. So of course, you've got to keep all of your things up to date, make sure that you hang them on your walls, because people are supposed to be able to see them and see that you're certified. Gotcha. And then I think the
[00:19:02] hardest part of that is basically just studying,
[00:19:05] finding time to study when you're test. I got you. Is it a multiple choice? Or is it multiple choice and practical? No, I think it's multiple choice. All right on. Do they have to does like a bored person have to see you actually tattoo or break? Okay.
[00:20:21] I think so. I'm pretty sure because I just recently filled out some of the paperwork to come there and I got into a very tense conversation with Kevin, I don't like Kevin.
[00:21:41] Yeah.
[00:21:44] Matt was lovely.
[00:21:45] There was this beautiful dude named Matt
[00:21:46] who did help me quite a bit I am licensed in Rhode Island and I've kept a license in Rhode Island for almost 10 years now. And it is upstanding. I have to report every year. I have to renew it every year. I have to say that there's no felonies, that there's been no black marks against my license.
[00:23:01] For this license that I had to do, I had to do a legal background check here in Maryland of this paperwork when you could have one paper and a check and all you could do is make a phone call to Rhode Island." And he was like, yeah. And I was like, that's very dumb, Kevin. I was like, you should probably recommend to your superior or anybody that like, there should be some certain provisions for certain states that when you know that their
[00:24:21] licensure is to a certain standard and a person has held a licensure for a certain amount of time,
[00:25:22] Like, you're just like, I don't know what you want me to tell you.
[00:25:24] I have no power here. If I brought up that, nobody care.
[00:25:25] And I was just like, you should assess your job.
[00:25:29] It's just like you should interrupt a meeting, Kevin.
[00:25:32] I mean, that gets it gets to that point, Bailey, when you have gone through all
[00:25:37] of this, like for for your job and you know what you've been through to do your job.
[00:25:43] And then you you meet these board member people that are just like,
[00:25:47] what was the qualification for your job? haircut before it was cool, but I did not look better in it than she did. So I mean, I don't know. I'd have to judge that for myself. If I see this picture, you would hysterically laugh. It's like my sixth grade middle school picture. And nobody was cute middle school.
[00:27:00] Yeah. Well, I had missed picture day and they sent the smallest
[00:27:04] person on the yearbook staff to take my picture. I feel like that's very on par for middle school. I don't think that that was a good judge. I personally, I think you could do it again. I'll redo it this time. We'll see how it goes. There you go. Let's see. So you've you've got this year, you'll probably be taking your test.
[00:28:22] What's your style?
[00:28:23] What are you into like tattooing the most?
[00:29:25] all the good stuff like lower back tattoos I want to bring back I think those are cute. You did say that last time.
[00:29:27] I think that my style will probably reflect who I am as a person.
[00:29:33] Yeah I agree.
[00:29:35] Yeah and I feel like you know as a person I'm just I don't really fit into a box I just kind of do
[00:29:42] and work with you know whatever I want but it's gonna be you know is really gonna stand out. I would say that too. I think that that's probably going to be your big thing. I remember you saying that you wanted to bring back low back tattoos and more of the 90s vibe
[00:31:00] and like reinvent it, but like, you know,
[00:31:02] bring it into the modern age and add a bit of your own spin
[00:31:05] and like edgy, but gir right, you know, like it's not it's not bad, it's good. It's just, you know, there's a lot, you're limiting yourself as to what you can do. And I feel like in the beginning, you really want to get the people working, play with a lot of things,
[00:32:21] make sure it's playful, make sure that you're always tasking yourself. So, I don't want to give myself a definition because by definition, I'm already limiting myself. So, definition leaves no room for change and I that's all I've ever, you know, done is I want to be here I'm gonna be over there I want to, you
[00:33:42] know, I want to be everything and I want to try everything out at least once and I mean, 60 bucks. Okay. And then something a little bit more than that, more medium sized. It just depends. We've been shooting towards 120 right now. That's a good thing. But currently we're working on, this weekend we're actually having a flash event for Gabby's medical bills. One of our artists,
[00:35:02] she had something medical come up and the bills were kind of expensive. So we're having a flash Impeccable artwork when it comes to symmetry. She can just do it by hand. Wow. It's like a mirror. It's crazy. But that is crazy. She would like to apprentice after I get done apprenticing. And I'm super rooting for her. I hope that she gets to do all of her artwork
[00:36:21] because I definitely feel like people will
[00:36:22] come to her for her lines.
[00:36:24] Heck yeah, man.
[00:36:25] One, and it sounds like Rick has really But we want to help her as much as possible to knock down that big number. And I hope that a lot of people come through. We all did like Valentine's Day flash and we made Valentine's Day stickers. And we're all going to dress like pinks and reds that day.
[00:37:40] Oh, I love that.
[00:37:42] Well, and it's a celebration of love and love is, you know, there's multifaceted love.
[00:37:46] It's not just romantic love. more like tame because of just like I live in a community where there's a lot of community restrictions and stuff so it's kind of made it a little lame but Halloween's a big one up there. I think it's been lame everywhere. I think it's becoming a holiday that people like our generation is like meh like yeah it's weird yeah like and I'm like we can't let this die we've been doing
[00:39:02] this for like 2000 years now. I think I just There was a white trash one, I remember. Yes, that one was my favorite. You got some good pictures from that girl. I did. So awesome. And then everything was-
[00:40:20] I dressed as white trash Barbie.
[00:40:21] I put fake hickies on my neck and I did eyeliner
[00:40:24] and blue eyeshadow. see you. I really am. Is there anything that that we didn't cover that that you feel like you really want to get out there and express? I remember last time you asked me this question. And I had ideas and I am completely drawing a blank right now. I
[00:41:42] think just for the future people out there like who want to be in looking to see if you're perfect. They're looking to see if there's potential in what you're bringing them. So underscore Barbie tattoo. You can DM me. I work every day except for Wednesdays and Thursdays or my days off.
[00:44:20] I'll try to answer you on my day off,
[00:44:22] but that's mostly time for me to regroup
[00:44:25] and also to work on things It just really was wonderful and we have a lot to thank him for. So yeah, thank you so much, Bailey. I appreciate your time, hon. I think this was perfect. You know, we got it all out. I'm so happy to. And I really feel like we've made a connection and that I'm going to be seeing a lot more of you in the future.
[00:45:43] If you ever want to come to our theme to Thanksgiving, I'll invite you next year.
[00:46:41] Yeah, we'll keep on. Yeah, we'll send you back some goodies.
[00:46:44] I know, I'm so excited.
[00:46:45] Maybe I might even, I might collect one of your tattoos too.
[00:46:50] I'll paint him a magnet so he doesn't feel left out.
[00:46:53] Aw, that's so sweet.
[00:46:56] That's what we were doing while we were like reading.
[00:46:58] Yep.
[00:46:59] I was like, you wanna come paint with us?
[00:47:02] Mariko's there painting Bob Ross paintings on magnets.
[00:47:06] He did a great job.
[00:47:08] He did, he does. them. Yeah, yeah. I still got them. I would love that. I'm honored. I'm so honored for your time. Twice now. But this is great. Because like you said, people actually be able to hear you and gather so much and follow you. I know you remand
[00:48:22] like your name and your Instagram is building, we have a lot more time behind it now. So it's probably even better that
[00:48:25] we did this. And yeah, I'd like to think that touch with her. She was a sheer pleasure to get to me and I do not think that week. I love you. Thanks for listening. You can find the Apprenticeship Diaries on Twitter,
