[00:00:00] Hello, diary listeners! It's Wednesday. It's not Tuesday. Thank you for everyone that let us celebrate our second wedding anniversary. It was wonderful. It was not a celebration. It was an everyday, everyday.
[00:00:21] Rico went hunting. I went to work. We both came home exhausted with nothing more than the love in our hearts to lull us to sleep and to get to today. Which, you know, we only have a lifetime ahead. So what's the rush, right? Like, we have room to grow on our celebration. It's only been two years.
[00:00:45] I mean, we were together four years before we got married. So we at least gotta get that far along in marriage before we can really, like, start saying we did something. Anyway, I am here today with, coincidentally, the guy who baked the cakes for our wedding, John Lee. I know John through church. He's about to give you the rundown once we start the podcast. But I wanted to let you guys know that this is a two-part diary entry with John.
[00:01:14] Uh, we are calling this first piece, Meet the Constitutional Cavalier. Because that is a moniker that John is moving into. The inspiration for this recording was that I have a podcast. John wants a podcast. And I was like, come on my podcast. So I hope you enjoy, listeners. And, uh, please, uh, I'm gonna put this at the top.
[00:01:42] Uh, make sure to give John a lot of great feedback. Uh, he's looking for it. He really wants to grow in a very great, integral, foundational way. Uh, I, I just wanted to be a soft landing pad for him to practice with. So if you guys could give them, give them insights, that'd be wonderful. Thank you so much and enjoy the time.
[00:02:14] Welcome to The Apprenticeship Diaries where raw meets refined. Let's be real. We're still working on the fun. What it took, what it takes, and the stories that are made. Join us as we learn from professionals about how their stories begin.
[00:02:42] Well, I wanted to start out by saying, uh, uh, hello and welcome. And thank you, uh, diary listeners that are going to be tuning in on this. I'm here today with my friend, John Lee. Um, I, if you'll humor me, John, I will just, uh, take a moment to, uh, kind of, you know, catch everybody up to how we got here. So, um, I met John and you, at, once I'm done, you can kind of clarify what brought you to church and everything.
[00:03:11] Like that. But I think that's a pretty interesting, uh, meat space too. Um, but we met at church and, um, I, uh, found out from church, from fellowship that you were an incredible baker. Um, I met your family right away. I connected with your older daughter who is, uh, an artist, a creative. She also has a passion for hair.
[00:03:39] So we started Gavin and then in tasting your amazing cakes. So I was like, Hey, you baked the case for my wedding, um, which you did. And they were fantastic. And it's really cool. Cause it's almost, um, my second year anniversary now, which is cool. And on the 15th, it'll be that. Um, so we've known each other for a while. You're not frequent at church, but, um, it's always fun when you're there.
[00:04:05] And then we have moved that relationship into other spaces and connections on social media. Um, I like to wrestle with you when I'm impassioned and that's always fun. And, um, recently when I saw you at church again, uh, I, I gathered that you wanted to have a podcast and, and, um, I was really keen on that. And I was like, Hey, I've had a podcast for like seven years. And you were like, what? What?
[00:04:32] And you also learned that our pastor has had his, you know, extracurricular, uh, doings within the, uh, the mic space and podcasting. So, uh, I guess without that, I guess I'll, I'll invite you to say, I think I know, but I don't want to assume. Um, but how did you find your way to our church? So I found, found cornerstone through my constitutional teacher who was also a
[00:05:02] student of our pastor. Um, and I'll, I'll leave them anonymous because, you know, we don't have to name them, but, uh, but that couple, um, brought me to church, introduced me to church. Um, I wanted to get more involved with like-minded folks and the fact that taking my constitution course through the Institute on the constitution who I'm affiliated with now, uh, as well as our
[00:05:28] pastor, um, it was like, it was like a package deals, like a best of both worlds. You know, I got to be involved with a senior instructor through the Institute, as well as be surrounded by like-minded folks, but also taking the course through the Institute of the constitution, which has biblical references within it, taking the course itself reignited my faith.
[00:05:54] And it was like, wait a minute, this all builds together. I need to make sure that my foundation is good in order to represent what our country is. And then that all just grew from there. And so I found myself at church meeting you and, you know, again, with the whole cakes and the wedding, which was an excellent, uh, it was an excellent experience for me. I still talk about it to this day to friends and family. It's like, yeah, you know, my cakes made it to wedding tier level.
[00:06:24] It's like, yeah, you know, I, I'm not, I'm not world famous, but I'm locally. I'm locally. Yes. Well, and a man of many talents, you know, like, um, not, not scared to, uh, dip your toes into many waters and in many spaces and experiment, um, which I thought was really cool. And, you know, just what I experienced of your baking. I was like, wow, this is great. I was like, I'm going to ask him. Cause I, same thing.
[00:06:51] I, everything was, um, I followed everything to our church. It started out with wanting to be closer to my family thinking, well, if I have that as a goal, they meet with this church all the time. My mom, she's a pretty critical human. Uh, she didn't have much bad to say about her pastor ever. And so I was like, wow, this guy is, you know, got a long time without her ire. I need to like meet him.
[00:07:19] And then when I started going, I was like, wow, this is really great. A lot of things were clicking. And, um, yeah, I, I, you know, it, it honed things for me, solidified things for me. And then when it came to my marriage, of course, starting that journey was a foundational type thing. Once you have the biblical principles principles behind that. And, um, you know, I wanted to do it well, and I wanted to do it mostly in house. Um, just because personally I'd never imagined even getting married.
[00:07:49] So the whole idea was like foreign. So to, to get in this place where I just loved everybody that was there, we were equally yoked and meeting pastor. And then I, I too took a course on the, um, constitution of the United States. I haven't done one for our state, but absolutely loved it. And learning just so much about all the different things that he is involved in outside of church, even it's just really, really cool.
[00:08:18] So, um, I hit you up first because the thing that we wrestle with, or at least I launch in on you about is whenever, whenever there's like a, uh, a conversation that kind of probes at the sexes and, and the, the female perspective of things. And I'm like, well, let me tell you, and you're very gracious always. And you let me tell you. Absolutely.
[00:08:47] Oh, well, no, I mean, it doesn't have to always be that way. I'm I come in hot. Um, yeah, I mean, I don't, I don't know when the debate is supposed to start or the discussion, but I don't want to cut you off, but, uh, absolutely. I, I respect you. We have that previous relationship and I think it's absolutely important for us to make sure that we're listening to both sides. Um, and that's, that's been something that I've tried to pride myself on, you know, as
[00:09:15] we get into the discussion of the sexes, as you say, you know, I want, you know, our, our, our biblical teachings tell us that we're, that our, our, our women are supposed to be helpers that they're not lower than man. They are equally yoked in marriage when marriage is appropriately executed biblically. And, you know, so we're supposed to love our wives and care for our wives. They support us and we support them.
[00:09:44] It's, it's the, that's the balance. Mm-hmm . And so, you know, I enjoy hearing your side of it because you don't have the, you don't have the arrogant beat down feminist vibe about you. You have a balanced concern where you feel there's concerns necessary. And then where you understand the principles and you agree with them and you understand them, then you're like, yeah, I can do that. Yeah.
[00:10:12] So it, you know, it, it, you come to the discussion with a mature open-mindedness that is hard. It's hard found, you know, on the street, if you will. I think you're giving me a lot of grace. Um, no, I mean, that's how I feel. I will have. Well, that's very sweet. Well, I, I, when I learned you wanted to have a podcast, I, I was thinking about it and
[00:10:39] I was just thinking, you know, I'm very self-centeredly honestly about, um, what we already do online. And, and I thought, you know, how often is that even discussed? Are there podcasts where, you know, they're not two people who are a couple, but two people who are centered around like the same, the same mission of like a reclamation of like traditional values and things like that.
[00:11:06] And who can put those, those commentaries and those discussions into a modern sense. And so I was like, well, I'm going to hit up John because like we had gone back and forth a little bit. But we trade information on the back end all the time. Um, and I was like, oh, he wants a podcast. Like, you know, this could be, this could be something that we could do.
[00:11:29] And I know that for your particular idea, um, which I would like to focus on more because we can get to you and me on later segments on your podcasts. Um, cause I think that's a potential for the future and you know, why not leave people, you know, wanting more and being like, what was going to happen? Um, like, what are they going to talk about? Um, but I would.
[00:11:53] Well, I mean, both sides of it, both sides of it work because I mean, women that are married to, you know, masculine patriots, they need to know their supportive role and, you know, God forbid they need to be able to shoot too. Yeah. But, but, you know, that, that all goes into it. So definitely I'm, I'd love to see where it goes. Oh yeah.
[00:12:16] Um, but I, I, you know, I kind of rolled on the back end to like, you know, talking about like starting your podcast and like some of the things that you've kind of been wrestling with in this need to start it. And, um, before we get into the podcast and like the vision and everything like that, if you could, cause I want this to be a spotlight on you. I want to introduce you to my crowd. I have a really great audience.
[00:12:45] They're not many, but they're very kind and they're very loving and they're dedicated and helpful. And so I think it would be a good way to like soft launch you and be like, Hey, this is John. And this is what he wants to do. Um, maybe you might have some ideas for him or give him some insight. So, um, first question is like, what do you do?
[00:13:07] How do you consider yourself easy questions to like talk about you as a person and, um, maybe what brought you to like wanting to have a podcast like this? Oh, okay. You can go back. We can talk for a while. Don't, don't get overwhelmed. So, um, I mean the, like the typical, if we're showing our age, the typical, um, age, sec location kind of thing, you know, the old I
[00:13:37] am, the old I am description. So, um, um, I'm a Gen Xer. Uh, I also cross, I also cross the lines into Xennial if you will. So, uh, I won't give my complete age away, but we're close.
[00:13:50] You and I, um, married for 13 years this year legally, but together for 21, um, two children by my marriage, uh, and one child outside of wedlock, um, with my son's mother. My son is 25 this year. So, um, three kids, uh, and I still have one at home to, uh, flow the nest.
[00:14:20] As far as career wise, I do, I've been a truck driver for 20, for 20 years. Uh, I've been doing commercial truck driving for 20 years. Um, out of high school, I had a love and an interest for cars. I went to automotive tech school to kind of, uh, realize that, that love. The, the industry wasn't nice to me because I focused more on quality over quantity.
[00:14:46] And so, um, I, I quickly found myself out of the auto repair industry. Um, in pursuit of other things, I found myself in driver's education. Driving has always been like a Zen thing, uh, for me. Uh, always found myself being able to wander into deep thought while on the road. And, and don't worry everybody listening. Um, I'm not dangerous when I do that. I promise.
[00:15:12] Uh, I am a professional, but, uh, uh, and that's what led me into truck driving. I taught driver's ed as a certified instructor. That's actually how I met my wife. And then, um, I've been driving 20 years and I've driven a multitude of different trucks. Um, not that it makes a difference, but all, all types of different trucks, uh, all the way up to tractor trailer and as small as, you know, like your typical heavy duty pickups.
[00:15:41] But, um, yeah, I mean, that's pretty much it. And then, uh, you know, fast forward, I've always been, I've always been resistant to authority, if you will. Um, I know that that's probably a, a key principle to Patriots like myself. Um, uh, I didn't bode well in the public school system. I, I always asked the hard questions and I always pushed back when I didn't get the right answer.
[00:16:07] Um, to the, to the tune in my senior year that I actually rebelled, uh, they tried to suspend me and cost me and keep me from walking my senior year for graduation. And, uh, it actually happened on my birthday, my 19th birthday, 1999. Uh, they wanted to suspend me from my high school, the last week of school. And they said that I wasn't going to walk. And so they kicked me out. They, they, they kicked me out of school that day on my birthday. I got in my car in the parking lot. I drove to the board of education.
[00:16:35] I spoke to the lead board executive of the department of education in my county. And after about 10 minutes of discussing the ups and the downs and the details of it, uh, I sat in the office of the board of the, of the board executive and he reached over, he picked up his phone and he called my Dean. And he said, Mr. Lee's going to come back to school and he's not going to have a problem for the rest of the school year. And he's going to walk with his classmates. And I walked back in that school just as, I mean, if I was seven foot tall, I was seven foot tall.
[00:17:05] And it was just like you see in the movies where, you know, the good guy reigns supreme. And then the bad guys just stuck watching you walk by and they're just meh. And it was, it was, it was kind of like a turning point for my, for my young adult life, because I knew that I had the spirit to succeed. I just had to have the proper information and, you know, and from there, that's, that's how I've ended up here.
[00:17:32] I, uh, after the, after the onslaught of COVID, uh, I finally started to realize that it wasn't going to get any better. And the opportunity to take the courses for the constitution showed their self. So I took the U S constitution course shortly thereafter, I ended up fighting a fight in my local community, uh, where I was facing five years for driving on a suspended license, um, where my license was suspended for failure to honor my rights to due process.
[00:18:01] Um, in the wake of COVID mandates. So because I resisted COVID mandates, they failed to appear me to court when I, when I showed up and then that failure to appear turned into a license suspension, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. And I, I fought it by myself. I stood on my own knowledge and education, and I fought it on my own self-represented and I prevailed. Everything got dismissed and that was it. Um, I didn't sue. I didn't do any of that.
[00:18:30] Um, because the golden rule, you know, I didn't want to sue because that's not what I was in it for. It wasn't about the money. It was about the principle and the fact that the principle came out on top and I came out unscathed. I didn't have any, I didn't have any vengeance or retribution supposed to leave that to God. So, you know, they can deal with him when they get there. Mm hmm. But, um, but, uh, that's, that's pretty much it.
[00:18:58] Uh, like I said, um, the, the classes on the Institute of the Constitution re re, uh, rekindled my faith and then I've been pursuing it ever since. And here I am, uh, the podcast idea came along right around the closure of the lawsuits that I had brought against me that I just described.
[00:19:18] Um, where I was studying, doing self studies for, uh, lawyering and court system, you know, procedure and stuff like that, learning that. And it came to me that maybe I should start just airing my dirty laundry, if you will.
[00:19:37] And then after a little bit of, uh, you know, after about a year or so, it started to kind of develop more into let's make this more educational. I didn't want to be that person that was just airing the laundry online and, you know, kind of, I don't know, I don't want to offend anybody, but kind of being like the, the trashy side of the internet.
[00:20:00] I didn't want to be that. I want it to be educational. I want it to be structured. I want, but I wanted it to have enough pizazz and inspiration that, you know, people realize that, hey, look, this guy knows what he's talking about.
[00:20:12] This guy makes a lot of sense, you know, um, just like you, like, like you and I have talked about, uh, organic content, just, just getting my thoughts out there on how you build from the foundation of, you know, the contents of the constitution and how the government is structured and how your rights work.
[00:20:31] And what it means to be peacefully resistant and just say no, um, it, it, it's, it's, it's an incredible principle when you put it into practical use. It, it's really empowering. Um, you know, and that was, that was, uh, that was one of the things that I exercised during my court cases, um, against the county was that it all basically started because I looked at the rights
[00:21:01] that I had that I knew I possessed by God and my creator. And I said, no, I'm not going to submit to an unlawful search. I'm not a criminal. I have a right. And the government has a duty to make sure that I am properly cross examined and given a proper trial and found guilty by a jury of my peers or acquitted by a jury of my peers based on the facts surrounding the case.
[00:21:28] And I stood on business and man, not only did it, not only did it allow me to come out on top and teach me that standing with standing on principle and standing with God at your back almost makes you virtually invincible.
[00:21:46] But it also taught me that, um, I just lost my train of thought there for a moment, but it, uh, it helped me understand that just saying no, it, it, it opens up. Dare I call it the secret gate on the side of the road that you never saw it was covered with vines and it was hidden in the shadows. And it's like, Oh, wait a minute.
[00:22:08] There's another pathway here. And here I go traipsing down this untouched grassy pathway. And, you know, you're getting pelted with sticks and this and that, and, you know, and it was just like, okay, this is definitely a harder route, but. You know, there's still a light at the end. There's still, there's still a pathway here. That means that it goes somewhere. And, uh, and that's what I found.
[00:22:34] Oh, and that was the, that was the detail that left me there for a moment. Not only did I, you know, did I come out on top with the, with the court case and stuff by standing on principle, but it actually in, in my own inner dialogues, I found myself convincing myself that sooner or later, somebody was going to look at me and say, Oh, well, if you don't like the way the police do it, because I had altercation, well, not altercations, but I had interactions with bailiffs and police officers.
[00:23:01] And I had an, I had a deep conversation, which I have on DVD on a body cam footage of one of the officers that I tried to invoke to protect my right to enter the courthouse for my court dates. And he failed to protect my rights and he failed to escort me into the courtroom. Um, but I found myself talking to other people and as well as to myself, you know, like I said, inner dialogues.
[00:23:28] And I found myself taking the position as most people would, when it comes to blue line support, if you will. Um, well, if you think you can do it better than sign up or shut up.
[00:23:40] So I signed up and I got through the testing and I got through the, uh, you know, the initial, all that stuff. And then it, when it got to the interview, they asked me a specific question about, and I can't remember it verbatim, but it was something about, tell us about a time when you had a problem with authority and how you resolved it.
[00:24:03] Meanwhile, I have an active case in the, in the, in the, in the, in the, in the, in the, in the, in the, in the most, oh, as matter of fact, let me tell you about this manner.
[00:24:28] And it was like, oh yeah, they're not calling me back. And I didn't get home. Not maybe two hours after my interview. You could have just referenced your high school career. Yeah. So it was like, you know, I wasn't home two hours after my interview for the sheriff's department. And then they called me and they're like, yeah, we're eliminating you from the pick. And it's like, I knew that. I knew that before I left. So better that way though, I'm sure.
[00:24:55] Well, you know, and I, I also, we're in 2026 now. So back in 22, I actually ran for sheriff and I backed out of the election. I backed out of the running because I yielded to another fellow that came highly recommended by a friend of, you know, the common group that I was a part of down here that were right-wing patriots.
[00:25:25] And so I yielded because this other person was a seasoned police officer. And I thought, okay, well, he, he knows the job better than I would ever know the job. And he ended up losing the election anyway. And now I had, I had considered running again this year, but I didn't because I really just didn't want to deal with the politics, the popularity contest, the empty promises.
[00:25:52] And basically my position as an, as a, as a, as a, as a candidate for sheriff, my position is absolutely very American, very constitutional, very by the book. And for somebody just in the general, just in the general way to go, when it comes to campaigning for someone, anybody to look at me and say, well, what are you going to do about crime?
[00:26:22] Well, that's a mirrored image. You look back at the public and you say, well, what are you going to do about crime? It's your community. I'm here to protect your rights, to protect it. It's not my job to fix it. And people don't realize that it's like, you know, I mean, you and I grew up in the, you know, in the, in the mid eighties to mid nineties. And it's like, you know, even as a Gen Xer, you know, I got my butt kicked, you know what I mean?
[00:26:49] My parents kept me straight and, you know, I, you know, just like they say on the internet and, and, and the, you know, your, your retro reels and your, your, your, your memorable memorabilia. You know, posts that people make about the eighties and nineties about, yeah, you had to be in by streetlights and we drank out of the water hose. You know, Gen X is tough, you know, blah, blah, blah. That it's, it's real. It's, it's absolutely real. And that's, that's who I am. I'm, I'm one of those tough guys.
[00:27:15] You know, I'm, I'm not, I'm not the biggest tough guy on the block, but you know, I skinned my knees and my parents didn't coddle me. I, I had to be in by on time. I had to be home on time. I had to get good grades. And if I had stepped out of line, I'm a butt whip. And it's like, where are we? Like if, if everybody was still doing that to this day, we wouldn't have, you know, the gang bangers on the street.
[00:27:39] We wouldn't have these punk kids stepping out in traffic and riding their bike against, you know, oncoming traffic, causing accidents and this, that, and the next, all this, all this. Riff raff. We wouldn't have it because, you know, when you got home, especially if you came home in a police car, you was going to get it. You know what I mean? And so it's just, it's really ironic to see how the world has changed. And I don't know how I got off on this. I like it.
[00:28:09] Spur. But yeah. So that's where I come from. Basically. It's like, you know, I'm, I'm trying to make the difference. Trying to keep. I want to, you know, I want to keep the American spirit alive. You know, there's nothing wrong with saying no, there's nothing wrong with asking questions and there's absolutely nothing wrong with reminding the government who they work for. And that's, you know, that's it. That's the bottom line. Yeah. I love that.
[00:28:39] I think I got through it all. Yeah, no, you did. You did. And then some, I'm kind of gobsmacked because it's the first I've heard of your court case and all of that. And you, you did what people don't usually do and what they say actively not to do, which is to represent yourself. So that's wild, man. That's cool. That's really cool. Yeah. I love that. I mean, it sounds like you definitely should be doing this. So I'm glad that you're aiming to.
[00:29:08] Um, and I, I don't think you have any problem with like making it engaging and good. And, and I mean, just there's topics every day, uh, as we well know where you can just look at it and be like, okay, let me tell you, let me tell you what's happening here. What my take is where it should be, like where we went off the rails.
[00:29:35] I mean, it's like insane amounts of just things that happen all the time that you could just pick up and be like, okay, here, here's, here's the constitutional. Like idea of this. This is what I would do if this were, you know, happening to me. That's wild, man. I love it.
[00:29:55] Um, yeah, I think you even branched into, uh, what is unique about you and specifically your view on things, which is that you're not, it doesn't sound like you're a party toater. You're just a, um, constitutionalist. We believe in, in the law. That's it. Yeah. I'm not, I'm, I'm not winged on either side of the bird. I am the bird. Yeah.
[00:30:19] Uh, you know, um, because what good is one wing or the other wing if you don't have a body pushing the wind behind you? Yeah. No, absolutely. That's my side, I think. Oh, that's interesting. Did you get an ecstatic? I did. It happens. That's, I think that's my box. I don't know, but sorry about that. That's not a problem. But yeah, it's, uh, it's, it's funny because even, even with me and, uh, and my wife, you know, we get to talking and
[00:30:46] she's still, even after me being at, at this whole constitution thing for about four years, she won't sit down and let me teach it to her. So she learns, you know, she, she just learns, you know, uh, by proxy. But, um, but we have these conversations all the time and we get onto these little, we get on these little debates and topics. And it's so funny because every time we get on it, it's like, let's go get in the podcast room and get it on the record. Yeah.
[00:31:12] And we never do because we're always in the car or we're somewhere else, you know, because my wife is, is the, she's the kind of woman that's got to, she's got to process out loud. So it's not until she gets into a position where she feels comfortable that she can just start to vent. Yeah. And then all the, then all the information comes out and it's like, you know, we're in the car, we're on an hour drive. And now you want to talk about this. It's like, I don't have any way to, you know, but I mean, of course, yeah, yeah. It's like, it really is. It's like, oh my goodness.
[00:31:42] I wish I had this on record, but, um, but still to this day, we, she, she gets baffled by me because sometimes I'll take a left wing approach to a discussion. And sometimes I'll take a right wing approach to it. And sometimes I'll be like, oh, actually they're both wrong. And this is why. And she's just like, yeah, but how do you execute that? And I said, well, that's the beauty of the constitution. And that's the beauty of the law is it's a thin red line.
[00:32:11] And it is all about discipline. And I mean, yeah, you know, what's, what's a simple, what's a simple situation? Well, you'll take the second amendment. The second amendment is always well talked about, you know? Yeah. Okay. You've got your right to bear arms. Absolutely. A hundred percent support you. A hundred percent support constitutional carry. A hundred percent support your right to carry your weapon every day.
[00:32:35] But that doesn't mean that you can get upset because you're losing an argument and brandish your weapon in a threat of intimidation. That doesn't work. And it also doesn't mean that you can not, you also can't just not execute your right and just not be armed and then be upset when you don't have it with you. You know, it's like both sides of the argument. Oh yeah, you know, guns, guns. And then, oh yeah, no guns. Guns are bad.
[00:33:03] There's a balance everywhere. There's a balance. And that balance I find is the key. And it kind of. It reminds me of. That scene in Indiana Jones. The last crusade where he's got to make the leap of faith in the temple. And it's that thin little tiny bridge that appears when he finally has the gonads to take the step. And it's just a little tiny thin path, but it's there. Yeah. And you just have to find it.
[00:33:32] You have to have faith and you have to have discipline. And just. And there it is. Yep. Yep. That's like, that's the key. Yeah. No, absolutely. And also. You know, I think one of the things that. That I recall. In. In the constitution classes is. Is kind of. Learning what is. Just law. And. You know. You know. You know. You know. You know. You know. For example.
[00:34:02] I'm trying to think of an example. But just. When it's not a good law. When it's not something that. You know. Right. You know. Is a. Is a. A good one would be taxation. Or things like that. Like. Taking your money. Because the government knows better how to allocate it. Than you would. You know. Or things like that. Well. Yeah. You're talking about. You're talking about what makes law just. Yes. And all law. All law is based. All law comes from biblical law. Yes. And then you have other. You have the.
[00:34:32] If it's not God's law. And it's not biblical law. And if it doesn't. If it doesn't conform to the laws of nature. And nature's God. Then the law is municipal. It's man-made. And even then. If it's not just. Then it doesn't hold up. You know. And like you said. With taxation. There's a. There's a maxim. It's called a legal maxim. And I don't have. Off the top of my head. I don't have all the details about that. But one of the maxim. Nature's law.
[00:35:00] And I believe it's listed in. Thomas Paine's. The rights of man. I think that's Thomas Paine. I might be wrong. I have to double check myself. But. In the rights of man. I listened to it in audio book. You have. The maxim of. What one creates. One owns. Well you own your labor. And the fruits thereof. So for someone to come and say. At gunpoint. Or through. Coercion over intimidation. Which the government uses.
[00:35:31] That you owe me. A portion. Of your labor. Without anything to trade. That's robbery. Straight up. It's theft. Yeah. Period. Bottom line. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if you did your legislative. You know. Steps to amend the constitution. It doesn't hold up. Because it violates. The law of nature. You know. Just like if you go out into the woods. And you build a cabin. Out of. You know. Scrap wood. And you do it all by hand.
[00:36:00] With just mud and logs. Which is another cool thing. That I enjoy on the internet. Those cool. Those are cool videos. Where those survivalist guys do that. I can get caught up for hours watching that stuff. But you know. That man. That person. Man or a woman. That builds that out in the wilderness. They own that. That their labor. They use their body. And their time. To invest. And that is the fruit of their labor. Is that house. Right. That's their shelter. It belongs to them.
[00:36:30] They have a right to defend it. Right. You know it's. That's natural law. You know. Without the government. This is the coolest thing in the world. Is to think. What if government. Didn't exist. What standard of civilization. Would we have. And that's God's law. Mm-hmm. Yes. So if you can follow God's law. And you can be a. Civilized and reasonable human being. To your fellow man. Which the golden rule.
[00:36:58] Encapsulates almost everything. To love thy neighbor. And treat thy neighbor as thyself. Yep. How hard is that? How hard is that? I mean. It really is amazing. We're learning. We're learning how hard it can be. When people have different. Ideas on how to. Grow up and associate. And how to treat their name. Their quote unquote. Neighbor. We're learning what other cultures. And other faiths. Believe that to be. So. Yeah. They are. We're learning.
[00:37:29] We're learning. Quickly. I mean. That's. That's part of the. The degradation of our. Our constitution. All of that. Yes. So. Within. Just to like. You know. Break out a little bit. This was something that I felt would be good. Just to like. You know. You have your setup. It's beautiful. You know. Thank you. Want to. Yeah. Man. Like. You want to start all of this. You know. You have your. Your recording. And.
[00:37:59] But like. The. The actual. Getting it out there. I know. That feeling. I know. What it is. To sit down. And record your first. Your first podcast. And. How daunting it is. And. I re. I re-recorded mine. Three times. Before I was finally. Like. Publish it. Amy. For crying out loud. It's ridiculous. Right. Nobody even knows you're doing this. Yeah. That's it. What have been your hang-ups?
[00:38:28] I'm just curious. I guess. You're asking me? Yeah. So. Yeah. So my hang-ups have been. You know. Just like you said. It's like. You record it over and over again. And you're just. And you finally just convince yourself. Just post it. And I've had a couple of friends tell me. They're like. Dude. There's these people out here. They're. What they call. Post it. And ghost it. Like. Don't even worry about the haters. Don't even worry about the responses. Don't even worry about any of that. Just post it. And ghost it. And I'm like. Eh. But that's not. That's not who I am. So I've. You know. And like we talked about earlier today.
[00:38:58] Because you know. We enjoyed a lengthy dialogue today. Which was awesome. I. I can't tell you how much I value. Just chatting with you. Aw. But it's. It really is. It's just been. All of these overwhelming things. Because I have so much stuff. That I want this to turn into. I. I. I. I have so many ideas. That just. My. My mind is. Really just. Bursting at the seams. With. With. Ideas and processes. And.
[00:39:26] And things that I got to do. But. I can't do this. Until I meet this requisite. And I can't meet that requisite. Because maybe there's not enough. Financial backing yet. Or there's not. You know. Because I. You know. I was hoping to maybe even monetize. This podcast. Maybe through YouTube. Or Rumble. Or something like that. You know. Not. Not including. Or well. Including my. Including my affiliations. With the Institute. And then.
[00:39:55] Because I get kickbacks from sales. For. You know. For. Educational materials. Like books. And stuff like that. So it's just. You know. I've. I really do have to get. This thing off the ground. Before anything else can happen. And it's just been. I've been so zoomed out. With the bigger picture. And it's like. Ugh. But. To get right back down to the point. Sorry. And I. I do. I terrible. I'm sidebar. That's awesome. I know. I love that. I enjoy talking with you too. And all of this is relevant.
[00:40:24] To hang up with me too. Is like you said. Like you. You redid your first one. Like three times. My. One of my biggest. I don't even want to. I don't even think I can call it a hang up. But maybe it's a fault. Is that. Once I have a conversation. It's like a check box. And then. Poof. Disappears. And it's like. How do I get back to that? And so I've got. Like I've got. Notebooks on my desk here. I've got a little four by two table. That this is all set up on in front of me.
[00:40:55] But I've got a notebook here. That's got all these bullet points. Of things that I've got to go back. And talk about again. And hopefully. Hopefully. I can cover all the cool points. That I came up with the first time. Yeah. To make sure that it gets onto the video. But at the same time. I can always. Make more notes later. And revisit a subject. That's. Yeah. That is a freedom that I have. And I. Just until now. Discussing it with you. It just dawned on that. I can actually do that.
[00:41:24] And so. So. Again. Thank you for the opportunity to. Get to hang out and chat so much. Because you're helping me get my thoughts in order. Which is awesome. That's what. This podcast is all about. And that was my passion going into it. A. Because it's cathartic for me. You know. It does the same thing for me. Because the challenge that I. Really wanted to. Approach. In doing a podcast. Was my public speaking. Which I became.
[00:41:54] Passionate about. Um. And. You're right. Um. That is a big. I don't think it's a flaw. I think it's. I think it's very common. Uh. Of people. Which is why I really wanted to have this podcast. Was to isolate. And to show people. You know. It's called the apprenticeship diaries. It's all about how we learn. And you know. What it takes in order to be. You know. Somebody who. Pursues their passion.
[00:42:23] How hard that is. It's. You know. You always see people. After they've made it. To some extent. Because that's when they catch fire. They're in front of you. Something goes viral. Or whatever. And then you're like. Wow. You know. And all the little. Minute things. That happen. To get to that. I mean. One of the people. That I love. Listening to the most. Is Matt Walsh. And he started recording in his car. You know. Like. He just. Sat in his car. And. So like. Yeah.
[00:42:52] You still have a lot of content creators. That do that. And I've even. Doing that too. Because. As silly as it sounds. My. I actually wanted my car. And you've seen my car in person. It might have been a little while. But. I wanted my car to be kind of a flagship thing too. Because. Amongst all of the cool things. That I want to talk about. As far as. You know. Constitution. Government. And everything else. I wanted my car to be kind of like a flagship. Icon. If you will.
[00:43:22] As well as. Giving me a little bit of a. A little bit of an in. To include car culture. Because I'm a car guy. Yeah. You know. And you know. My car might be 20 years old. And it might be a hunk of junk. In the greater. Scheme of things. But it's unique. It's mine. And it sticks out like a sore thumb. Yeah. So it's like. You know. Why not have fun with it. And include it. As part of the content. Because it's covered. Right. With political opinions. Yeah. And you know. You get to drive down the road.
[00:43:52] And I can tell you. I sit at lights. Between my here. Between my house. And my work. Or when I'm out and around town. And I'm driving. And I'm stopped at lights. And people stare. At my car. And they're reading. They're reading. What the stickers say. And I actually just had a lady. I was just down at Colonial Beach. Over the weekend. In Virginia. And I was pulling out of the paid parking lot. When we were leaving. And some lady was walking. And she stopped me.
[00:44:22] To comment. On the sticker that she read. On the side of the car. It's. I don't even remember. Exactly what it says. It's something about. Why let terrorists. Destroy our company. Our country. When the government. Does such a great job. And. And she. And she. She was like. Heck yeah. That's awesome. And the irony of it was. Was that she looked very. Very left-wing liberal. But she was giving me props. And she didn't know me from Adam. Right. But. You know.
[00:44:51] It was kind of awesome. It's like. See. There is common ground. And. You know. We just need to nurture that. Well. And also. I. And this is something that. I will. I've mentioned him on the podcast. Before. So. I'll. Say him again. He's not on. The internet. Like at all. He like barely knows how to use his phone. Which is Mr. Neil. We always. We always talk about things. I love Neil. So much. But you know. He comes to me. And he'll.
[00:45:21] He'll probe me about something. And. You know. I. We're in. Our. Kind of. I'm not bubble. But. But. We're very concerned about these things. Collectively. As a church. As a people. As a fellowship. And. You know. I think for some of the. People there. Like Mr. Neil. Like. We're like one of the biggest. Social. Things that he does. You know. On a regular basis. And. He's always coming to me. And he's saying. You know.
[00:45:52] What. What are. What are we going to do about. This or that. And. You know. He would ask me questions about. Certain political movements. And things. And I'm like. You know. What you got to understand. About a lot of this stuff. Is that. The people who are the most. Politically. Locked in. They're not. The majority of people. They're. They're not. The majority of people. Are. Exhausted. By this. The majority of people.
[00:46:21] Have taken a stance. Of. Just. They can't. Like. It's not that they don't care. Or they have opinions. Or anything like that. They just can't. They're too. Weighed down. By just living their lives. That they don't. They don't. They don't. Think about these things. Like. And they're a huge part of it. It's only like. A third of the population. That ever gets. Any one candidate. Elected. Ever. And that's about. As many people.
[00:46:50] As actually are concerned. About. The politics. In this country. Is like. Maybe a third of people. Are really locked in. And. You know. I know that you know. That it only takes. A small group of people. But like. Imagine if you can get. Like this lady. She probably is. The demographic. To the majority of people. Who are not. Left or right wing. Coded. They're exhausted. And borderline. Apathetic. To the whole thing.
[00:47:19] Just because they're. They're. Done. Um. Yeah. And imagine what they would feel. If they actually. Understood. And kind of. To what you're aiming to do. Exactly. And that's. And that's basically. The idea. That's. That's the ethos. If you will. Is to. Um. Is to educate. Which is actually. On my bio. For my. Facebook page. For my channel. And I think it's also. On my link tree too. Is. It's. It's education.
[00:47:50] And awareness. I mean. Once you've educated yourself. And you're aware. You know. I mean. You see that floating across the internet. All over the place. Well. You know. Regardless of the social medias. That you utilize. Everybody's talking about it. Once you wake up. And see it. You can't. Unsee it. Yeah. And it's like. I live that every day. And you know. Kind of cutting back to what you had asked me earlier. About you know. How long I had been thinking about this. And what was taking me so long. It's exhausting. Amy. It really is. Like.
[00:48:20] I get. Because I get myself worked up. And I get myself hung up. And I'm. You know. And I'm. I'm researching. And I'm absorbing content. Regarding specific. You know. Political subjects. If you will. About certain. People. And certain candidates. And certain. International. Groups. That are doing certain things. And you know. Et cetera. Et cetera. Not to throw any specifics under the bus. Or anything. But it gets exhausting. Like I find myself having to.
[00:48:51] Stop. And just. Push it to the side. For a little while. Because it's like. This really does. It gets exhausting. And you start to see the psychological. Weight. Of it all. You know what I mean. Because. Yeah. And depending on. Depending on the depth of thought. And how much. You know. People. Your listeners. And other people. That might see this. Depending on how much. Reflection.
[00:49:20] They give the subjects. It's like. It's. It does. It weighs down on you. It exhausts you. It's like. How much more. Do I have to endure. Before. Somebody's going to fix it. And the sad thing is. Is that. It's like laundry. If you don't do it yourself. You're not going to get done. Absolutely. And unfortunately. That is the hard pill. That every single American. Is going to have to swallow. Yeah. Also. It's. It's kind of sad.
[00:49:51] Because. People who. Are on those outskirts. And who might not be very knowledgeable. I don't want to. Discount them. Because they very much. So to your point. You just said. We empathize with. The exhaustion. Absolutely. It is exhausting. But what ends up happening. Is that because. You are pushing. Back. And you are. You are a person. Asking questions. You mentioned going down. The least. You know. The least commonly tread path. And getting rocks and twigs.
[00:50:21] Thrown at you. It's not the government. Totally. That is doing that. In a large way. It's the people. Who are like. Shut up. Stop making things hard. For the rest of us. Yeah. We call them the indoctrinated. If we. You know. Yeah. We call them that. Or. Another. Another more palatable name. That I've seen. The normies. The normies. Will be the ones. That throw you under the bus. They're the ones that. You know. They're the ones.
[00:50:50] That are going to give you away. Because. They. They believe. They're the ones that have stock homes. You know. They. They. They love their oppressor. They are the beauty to the beast. And. You know. They fall in love with their oppressor. And they want to give. You know. They. They. They think that. Being virtuous. To the. To what the government wants. It. It. Somehow lifts them up.
[00:51:20] And it makes them a better citizen. It's just like. You don't realize what you're giving away. Yeah. It's. It's just. It's. Yeah. Yeah. You put it in a good way. It's. And they're gold. They're golden bars. But they're bars all the same. You know. Like. They might be made of gold. But they're. Right. They're trapping you. Absolutely. Yeah. It looks like it's. Being glamorous in the beginning. But then. When they. You know. When the system turns on you.
[00:51:50] You know. It's those people that are going to be like. But. But. But. I did this. And I did that. And it's like. Yeah. But the system doesn't care. No. You know. So. Yeah. And. That's the dark truth. You know. I don't. I don't. I don't want to turn the lights down too low. Well. I mean. It's. I mean. It's worth noting. Because. You know. If you follow Christ. He doesn't. Absolutely. It doesn't lead to a great outcome for him. I mean. It comes to a great outcome. Ultimately.
[00:52:20] Ultimately. Our eternal lives. And salvation. And this promise. That we get to lean on. Because of his suffering. But he had to suffer. Indeed. Yeah. The most horrendous. It's going to get really hot. It's going to get really dark. Before the sun comes out. Yes. Yes. No. And I think. But. I do think that it is. I love that you brought up Indiana Jones. Because I bring up him a lot. I don't think people really understand. How much biblical. Stuff is laced in there. And.
[00:52:49] Current themes. That we're exploring to this day. I mean. They even have Nazis in there. It's like. It's a wild thing. When you really look at it. The different things that they. The different artifacts. That he goes to. Right. Discover. And all of that. The good versus evil. Within all of those. And it just. And I love the one. That you're discussing. What was it? The. The. Cup. What the. It was. Not. It was in there. In.
[00:53:19] Not the temple of dune. Not the raiders of last arc. It was. Last crew. Yes. Uh. Visual. Of the cup of Christ. And. Well. What that is. Um. Because what we're talking about. Is something that is. Integral. Even down to your podcast. And thing. That it. That you don't. You don't want to be the trash. Of the internet. You're not looking to be. Something that's.
[00:53:49] Gross. And. Extravagant. And all of that. It's. You want to be that integral cup. That. You know. Can feed people. Eternal life. And. And give them the tools. That they need. Which I think is really cool. Um. Awesome. But it's not flashy. It's. It's. Integral. Um. Which is cool. I. I'll. I'll. I'll prepare you. I mean. I. I'm not going to. Prepare you for anything. I mean. You might. You might. Wildly exceed all expectations. And this might really.
[00:54:19] Go off. But in my experience. In my experience. If you. Uh. If you don't play the games. To a certain point. Um. You kind of. I don't know though. Because. Um. You know. I. I mentioned somebody like Matt Walsh. I think that he very much so. Has kept. His views. And his integrity. The entire time. And. It kept uplifting him. And left him into the space. Where he was able to join a group of people.
[00:54:48] Who could keep elevating him. So what do I know? I don't know. Um. All I know. All I know. Is. Is that I. Don't. Um. I don't play ball. Well. With a lot of other things. And I've had a lot of. I've. I remember talking to you about this. Like. I. I've had people. You know. Say. Oh. You should cut it down to this amount of time. You should do this. You should that. And. My. My thing. To your point. Is always like. Okay. Well. Where's your podcast? First of all. Um. Second of all.
[00:55:18] Um. I don't want to do that. Because it's what everybody does. And I also. Am. Really trying to. Counter engineer it. I don't want to appeal to people. Who. Are addicted to like. 10 second. Or 10 minute clips. That are just being fed back. Like. Crap all the time. There's enough of that out there. I don't want. To do that. Um. I'm for the people. That are. Able to sit for a couple hours. And actually listen to something. And they crave that.
[00:55:48] Yeah. Yeah. Um. I mean. I would. I would be. Thoroughly. Satisfied. You know. Sometime in the future. If I. If I. Came across. You know. Just through the grapevine. I'm showing my age. The grapevine. Uh. You know. If I. If I were to find out. That I was. You know. In some way or another. Uh. Equally. Equally. You know. Had risen to the same bar. As like. Shoot. What was his name? He was a big talk show host.
[00:56:18] When we were younger. Um. Um. Recently passed away. Rush. Rush Limbaugh. You know. He did. Yeah. And I. You know. I had an interest in radio. When I was young. Um. Um. I started a DJ business. Fresh out of tech school. You know. So I was. I'm not afraid of a microphone. I'm not afraid of. You know. Cracking a couple jokes. Having a good time. Um. Um. I had. I had considered. Working. As a radio DJ. And. Uh. It just. I don't think I put in enough effort.
[00:56:47] And I never pursued it enough. So. You know. The desire is there. The personality is definitely there. Um. It's just a matter of. Again. You know. Making sure I know my audience. Making sure that. You know. I'm. I'm keeping. I'm keeping on topic. And I'm. And I'm building. I'm building the discussion. You know. With a solid foundation. And staying on. On track. Because as you can tell already. Just in our. In our. You know. In our visit here. Um. That I can definitely get off onto some sidebars.
[00:57:17] And sometimes. I get so far down that sidebar path. It's. It's. It's hard to get back to the interstate. So. It's like. So. Sometimes it's like. Oh. Well. I'll get back to the interstate. The next time. You know. On. And. On the next. Episode. Or whatever. So. It's like. I've just. I've got to make sure that I get my structures in order. And I got to make sure that I get my. My talking points. Put together. But. I would love to rise to that level of. You know. Familiarity. Or appreciation.
[00:57:46] Or someone holds me equal to. You know. Really keeps the. Keeps the mind working. And I can definitely appreciate where you're coming from about. You know. Being the antithesis to the whole 10 second 15 second videos. Where you know. People that are trying to consume your content. Are addicted to. These little short bursts of dopamine. Off of Facebook. And Instagram. And TikTok. It's like. Those aren't the minds that we're.
[00:58:16] That we're targeting. Those are definitely not the minds that I would want to target. I want to target the minds that are lying in bed at night. Just brainstorming about the things that they heard me talking about that day. Or. They're picking up a book. You know. Like. The common law. Or. You know. The federalist papers. Or. Something that. Leans in. And really gets close to. The issues at hand. And gives you perspective. And background. Thought. That's what I'm. That's what I'm looking for. I want.
[00:58:45] I want people that are thinkers. You know. Opposite the. Childs. I want. Thinkers in our country. I don't want workers. You know. Workers. Or. Workers are great. Don't get me wrong. I mean. Yeah. You got to work. But that's. Indicative of life. Right. So. Why not be intelligent while we do it? Yeah. You know what I mean? Totally. Totally. Yeah. One of the biggest. Just to share an anecdotal story. Talk about side tangents. One of the biggest.
[00:59:15] Arguments. My husband and I got into. Before we were married. Had to do with the fact that. You know. I invited him on the show. He's in my intro. And my outro. But he. It's been a long time since he's sat with me. I kind of ran him off. In a way. You know. I'll admit it. I did. But the. The. I had. I had tried to. Delegate the responsibility to him.
[00:59:45] To seed. The social media spaces. With. You know. Different things that were relevant. To the podcast. And. Had some humor. Because. He's a lot more funny than I am. And I. I. Not only did I. You know. To be thinkers. And things like that. But I also want. There. It to be fun. You know. Like. It should. It should be fun. The best teachers. Are the ones that can make it fun. And they can. Have. That. You know.
[01:00:15] Or. A sarcasm. I mean. You mentioned that. You know. Satirical. Kind of. Like. Edge to them. I know. That's why I like Matt Walsh. It's just. Like. His dry. Sarcasm. It's just amazing. That's funny. He's. He's dry. But he's great. Oh. I love it. The way he delivers his punchlines. Is just like. Smooth. And it's masterful. It's like. Deadpan. Like. How do you even do that. Without like. Making. I laugh at myself. All the time. And I just. I don't even know why he does it. But. I mean.
[01:00:44] Because I know he's got little ones in the home now. I remember he had. He had children. While he was still like. With Daily Wire and stuff. When he was still up and coming. Yeah. And. I can only imagine his dad jokes. I'm sure he keeps the kids. And his wife in stitches. I think it's constant. I mean. I think he's like a walking dad joke. I think he's just like a. You know. Like. Just in the moment to moment. Just like. I mean. I don't know. But. I have no idea. But. I. I enjoy him very much. But yeah.
[01:01:14] I was trying to get Rico. To seed the podcast with. At least on social media. And. The pushback that I gave him. He was. I was like. Hey. You're. You're putting out a lot of memes. And stuff like that. And that's fine. I did ask you to do that. But I don't want that content. To be more prevalent. Than the actual podcast itself. Like. Right. You know what I'm saying? Like. It needs to have an even balance. Well.
[01:01:43] Then we got into this whole back and forth. About. The rules. And he was like. You have to post every day. Like. In order for people to see you. And to catch on to this. You have to entertain the algorithm. And you have to be frequent. And I was like. Okay. Well. You know. I. If it's going to be frequent. Then can you at least. You know. Make these yourselves. Can you make them unique? Like. It can be. The same joke. But. But make it. You know. Like. Put it on this background. And he.
[01:02:13] Got real frustrated. And he was like. Look. You put me in charge of this. You know. I'm trying to help you. You obviously don't. Like. Succeed. And it just became. This whole thing. That like. Really like. Tore us apart. In that way. And I think he kind of got. Like. You know. He's like. You're not going to let me do. What I feel is best. And I was like. I. I'm to you. Point. I was like. I have a very particular vision here. That I am trying to construct. Like. And my point to him. Was like. Listen.
[01:02:43] Rico. Yes. I want it to be fun. Yes. I want it to be funny. Yes. I want to have moments of those things. However. I want a foundational crowd. Of people who aren't coming for the memes. I want them coming for the content. Okay. Right. So the minute you give. The crowd. Something that they don't necessarily. Like. If all you've built is. You know. A crowd that is there for the funnies and laughs. And then. In a second.
[01:03:12] You ask them to think. Well. You're going to lose half your audience. So all that steam. And momentum. That you built up. Is going to be gone in an instant. So. That was my point. No. I get it. Yeah. And I. I know you do. Because you. Are really trying to build something. Integrally. And my whole thing is just like. Eventually. You just got to. Just got to do it. Like. Do. One little thing. One little step towards. You've done many steps. From what I can tell. Like.
[01:03:42] This has been. A culmination. And what a godsend. I mean. Praise God. Who knew that like. You'd follow all these paths. I mean. You do. Because you've been doing it now. For so long. And you're. Open to sharing that. With other people. And. And. You know. Kind of helping them march into that. But. How cool is it. That like. You. You. Have been following this path. At this point. And then you get to the church. And then you sit down. You're like. I have. I want to do a podcast.
[01:04:12] And I'm like. Oh. I have a podcast. And you're like. What? And I've been talking about the podcast. Like. I mean. The setup that I have here. I. I bought a. I bought a sound card from Walmart. It's a Vivitar sound card. It keeps. Making that. Daggone. Static. Noise. I don't know where the interference comes from. But it is. But. It is what it is. I bought a double mic system. From Amazon. Super cheap in China. But I guess it sounds okay. You haven't told me.
[01:04:41] I sound like trash. So that's good. You don't. You know. But. And then I just. I have a laptop. And I'm using a. Well. Right now I'm using Zoom. Zoom was free. Yeah. Talk to you. But I have. UBS studio. Which is free. Nice. It's a free. It's free software. And. I've just been trying to learn how to use it. I've got a couple of different. Like. I don't even know what they would call them. But I've got a couple of screens. Saved.
[01:05:11] So that I can do like a 50-50 split. With me and a guest. And. And then. And I think that's it. But I've got. I've got two cameras. I've got ring lights. Like I got my ring light on right now. So that I'm. That's awesome. Properly tone. And. My other camera. My other mic is over here.
[01:05:40] And my other camera is over here. But. Yeah. It's. It's like. It's set up. But like you said. I just. I had all these little hang-ups. I had all these little overwhelming moments. Where I just. I couldn't just bring myself to do it. Like I. I even have a plan. Like I've got. I've got my printouts right here on my. On my table. I've got. The Declaration of Independence. I've got. The Constitution of the United States. And I've got. The United States Bill of Rights. All three. Printed out on paper. In black and white.
[01:06:10] Because I was going to do an introductory reading. Of each document. And they're pulled. They're pulled from the National Archives. Like they are the official copy. You know what I mean? From the archives. So it's like. I've had a plan. That's a great way to start. Yeah. And like I. Like I had told you before. In our. In our conversation earlier today. I just. I needed someone else to talk to. Because. Like I still crave that. Back and forth.
[01:06:39] Like you give me input. And then I can reflect. I give you input. And then you reflect. It's like. That's how you carry the conversation. It's really difficult. It's really difficult. To carry a conversation. Or answer. Hypothetical questions. When it comes to this content. Because. There's so many questions. Right. You know what I mean? There's. There's so many different opinions. And I'm already prepared for it really. Because you know. You.
[01:07:08] I know I'm going to get a bunch of people. They'd be like. Oh yeah. You know this. This that. And the Supreme Court says this. And the Supreme Court says that. And oh well they've been doing it this way. For a hundred years. You're not going to change it. It's like. No dude. Like. The Supreme Law. Supreme Law. There is. There is no ordinance. There is no statute. There is nothing. No mandate. Nothing. That overrules. The law. The Supreme Law. Of the Constitution. And the Bill of Rights. And it's just like.
[01:07:38] People just don't get that. And I. I even had an opportunity. Um. And I. Again. I don't want to get. Too off course. I. I know. No. This is great. But um. I don't know if you can see my shirt. I can. Fight the Communists. Yeah. Fight the Communists. But this is my. Camp Constitution shirt. Pastor Whitney. Our pastor. He and I spent a week together. At Camp Constitution. This year. This summer. Absolutely. Awesome.
[01:08:07] Absolutely awesome. As a matter of fact. He asked me to let him. Stop it. He asked me to let him know. When I was going to come back up to church. So that I could do. A little segment. On Camp Constitution. But um. One of the ladies. That spoke at Camp Constitution. She's. I think she's an MIT graduate. And now she's a. Now she does. Bookkeeping from home. Like she does taxes. And stuff like that.
[01:08:37] And she was doing. A lecture. Birth camp. Which is a family camp. It's not just kids. It's kids and adults. Families usually. Mothers and fathers. And kids. Um. Um. But she was doing. Uh. Her. She was doing her speech. On the Constitution. It's basically like a crash course. She's got a bunch of different. Speakers. Pastor Whitney was one of them. Um. That do crash courses. Regarding details about the Constitution. To kind of get these kids. And their parents. Kind of like a crash course intro.
[01:09:07] To the Constitution. To make them. You know. To invoke. Invoke curiosity. Invoke interest. You know. Pique their curiosity. As to educate more. And I had raised my hand to her. And I asked her. Or I had said something to her. Along the lines of. Where is it in the Constitution. That gives the Supreme Court. Delegated power to interpret. The Constitution. And she lit up. Like it was the best question. She had ever been asked at camp. And she was like. You know.
[01:09:37] As a matter of fact. It's not in there. I was like. Exactly. It's not in there. And the course that I took. That I actually. I actually have a link for it. On my link tree. Because I'm. I can. I can earn a little bit of money. If people buy the course. It's called Juris Dictionary. Oh great. That's the course that I took. To teach myself. How to navigate the court system. When I was fighting my battle. I was going to ask about that. So that's great. That you mentioned that. Yep. So it's there. And I can. I can shoot you a link. Or well you can go to my link tree. And check it out.
[01:10:07] You don't have to. You know. Do anything else from there. But. But. I had. I had learned in that course. That. You know. And also in the constitution course too. When I originally took it. The three branches of government. The executive. Legislative. And the judicial. They have specific. Ethos. You know. We know that the legislative branch. Legislates. It writes law. And the executive. Executes.
[01:10:37] Law. Law. The judiciary. Does not interpret. It's a fallacy. It applies. The law. Yes. The judiciary. Literally. Is supposed to look at the constitution. Look at the laws. That are constitutionally binding. Because only laws. And statutes. That are made. In pursuant thereof. Hold the power of law. Anything else. Is null and void. All right.
[01:11:06] Diary listeners. That wraps it with John. I felt bad to cut him off there. Because he was on a roll. And. But. I hope it's a good hook. For next week. Come back next week. I liked ending it here. Because. John mentioned his link tree. And where you can actually access. The information that he profited from. And learned from. In order to do all of what you have. He heard already. He is. Around. For you to ask questions. That's.
[01:11:35] This is kind of what he wants to do. Is tackle. These kind of. Issues. And comment on them. And hopefully give people. A little bit of an edge. On how to better procure. Their liberty. Their freedoms. And follow the law. As it was intended to be. You know. Followed. Ultimately. It's a. It's. It's investing in God's order. Which is really amazing. It's. It's wonderful. It's a high calling. So.
[01:12:05] This was a really fun. And beautiful thing. To do with John. And I. I really. Pray. That he. Does all of this. It would be very. Very cool. I will be a fan. I am a fan. Instantly. And. You know. John. John. Thanks again. For the cakes. That you baked. They were good the day of. And they were good. A year later. God bless everyone. Have a powerful week. And please. Circle back. For next week. Because you're going to hear more from John.
[01:12:36] And. He's pretty cool. He's a very knowledgeable fella. And cares deeply. So. I would. If you're. Wondering where to put your time. And your energy. Put it here. You won't be disappointed. God bless you all. Later. Thanks for listening. You can find the Apprenticeship Diaries. On Twitter. Facebook. And Instagram. Our IG is. The underscore.
